Costoluto di Parma Tomato Seeds
Info: The Costoluto di Parma is a tasty Italian beefsteak tomato from Parma in the region of Emilia-Romagna. It produces large, bright red, heavily ribbed and meaty fruits with few seeds. The tomatoes have a very intense "old-fashioned" tomato flavour and are excellent for fresh use as well as for sauces and all kinds of Italian recipes. The plants are vigorous, prolific and medium-sized (up to 160 cm).
Care: You can grow the Costoluto di Parma tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
