Licatese Tomato Seeds
Info: The Licatese tomato is an Sicilian heirloom with very delicious medium-sized fruits. The plants are vigorous, are growing to a height of 90 to 150 cm, need staking and will stop growing when fruit sets on the top bud. The tomatoes are bright red, slightly ripped and flattened. All the fruits ripen at about the same time (usually over period of 1- 2 weeks). Their delicious flavour is excellent for fresh use, e.g. in salads.
Care: You can grow the Licatese tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
