Kellogg`s Breakfast Tomato Seeds
Information: Kellogg`s Breakfast` tomato is a beautiful orange beefsteak with very flavourful and superbly sweet fruits. Its a heirloom from the US, and bears giant fruits weighing 500 g or more. The tomatoes are slightly flattened and have a bold golden skin and juice and a delicious rich flavour with a good acid/sugar balance. The plants grow indeterminate, meaning that they keep growing all summer and setting new fruit as it grows. The vines need staking and probably a bit of support for the huge tomatoes.
Care: You can grow tomatoes at home, in a greenhouse or outside. Cover seeds only slightly with soil. Optimum germinating temperature is between 20°C and 25°C, germination takes place after 5-15 days. You can accelerate germination by priming them overnight in a damp cloth. The young plant should not be planted outside until after the last frost.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil, which is kept damp (but not wet!). They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more.
