Beauté Blanche Tomato Seeds
Info: The Beauté Blanche tomato is also called "White Beauty". It is an old French variety, the has been known since about 1860. The high-yielding plants develop beautiful beefsteak tomatoes with a milky-white colour that turn to a creamy yellow when ripe. The tomatoes are particularly popular because of their mild taste with very little acidity. The meat is medium juicy and tenderly melting. This variety is particularly good for fresh consumption - sliced and sprinkled with Fleur de Sel: a real treat.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
