Cerise Tomato Seeds
Info: The Cerise tomato (Cerise means "cherry" in French) is one of the old French varieties which was mentioned as far back as 1861. The small, round cocktail tomatoes have a great, sweet flavour, little acidity, and weigh up to approx. 30 g. The up to 2 metres tall stake tomatoes are resistant against blight, are stable and produce an early and long-lasting yield. They are therefore suitable for growing outdoors.
Care: You can grow the Cerise tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
