Principe Borghese Tomato Seeds
Info: The Principe Borghese tomato is a traditional Italian cocktail tomato. The plants are bushy and relatively small, and are therefore suitable for cultivation in pots on the balcony or terrace. They produce many small, oval, bright red fruits, which are very sweet and flavourful. The fruit flesh is soft to almost floury, and they have a full tomatoey aroma with little acidity. In Italy, these tomatoes are often sundried so that they retain their full flavour.
Care: You can grow the Principe Borghese tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
