Red Cherry Tomato Seeds
Info: The Red Cherry tomato is an Italian cherry tomato with small and compact bushy plants (25 to 50 cm in height). Therefore, it is particularly suitable for window boxes, pot cultivation or for hanging baskets. The plants produce vast amounts of small, sweet, round fruits with rich, full-bodied, mildly acidic flavour. They are ideal for snacking as well as for salads and many Italian dishes.
Care: You can grow the Red Cherry tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
