Datterino Tomato Seeds
Info: The `Datterino` tomato is a date tomato with bright red, small oval fruits in shape and size of a date. It comes from Italy (Sicily) and the small, firm fruits are well storable and therefore ideal as a snack and for the lunch box. Of course, the tomatoes can also be eaten directly from the bush. The plants are up to 180 cm tall and carry many panicles, pruning is not necessary, but a climbing support is helpful.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
