Rotkäppchen Tomato Seeds
Info: Rotkäppchen is a compact growing breed from Germany. The proven hobby gardeners variety is particularly well suited for a pot culture on the balcony or terrace. It makes small, round, aromatic and juicy fruits. The individual, medium-red tomatoes weigh up to 50 grams. You can nibble directly from the shrub, but it is also ideal as a splash of color in the salad or for decoration.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
