Elfin Tomato Seeds
Info: The Elfin tomato comes from Austria and is one of the best date tomatoes with a very sweet and tangy aroma. The up to 4 cm long oval red fruits have a slim waist and a small tip. Their taste is intense and full-bodied. They are suitable for snacking directly from the bush, but also for salads, pickling and drying. The plants can grow up to 2.5 metres tall and are easy to grow either outdoors and in greenhouses. It is an advantage to remove the side shoots regularly.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
