Humboldtii Tomato Seeds
Humboldtii Tomato Seeds
Info: The tomato Humboldtii belongs to the wild tomato varieties and is characterized by a healthy, robust, bushy growth and flavourful, small red fruits. The plants are very resistant and particularly suitable for outdoor cultivation. They grow bushy and, if they are not restricted in their growth, can reach heights of 2 metres and more. For this they need a support or trellis. If you let them grow in tubs, it is better to limit their growth to 5 main shoots. The cherry-sized raspberry-red fruits are tasty and sweet and the plants carry very richly until October.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
