Indigo Kumquat Tomato Seeds
Info: The Indigo Kumquat tomato comes from Central America and is a cocktail tomato with a beautiful play of colour and exceptional taste. The round-oval tomatoes ripen in panicles from green-purple to yellow-orange-purple. The more sun they get, the stronger becomes the purple part up to almost black. In addition, they have an extraordinary taste: fruity to exotic with notes of kumquat, mandarin and papaya. They are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for jam cooking. The plants can grow up to 2.50 metres in height and need a support or stake.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
