Indigo Pear Drops Tomato Seeds
Info: The Indigo Pear Drops tomato is a pretty cocktail tomato with small, pear-shaped fruits that ripen from purple to yellow-orange. The more sun they get, the stronger becomes the purple part up to almost black. The purple colour is caused by anthocyanins, a very healthy secondary plant substance. Due to their beautiful play of colours, the small tomatoes are particularly suitable for colourful salads. They also have a very good, mild-sweet tomato taste.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
