Safari Tomato Seeds
Info: The Safari Tomato is a pretty, brown-red-green spotted tomato, looking like a safari pattern. The variety comes from Sicily and the fruits are popular not only because of their pretty colour but also because of their very sweet-sour taste. The approx. 3 cm large fruits are also burst-resistant and have a good storage capacity. The plants remain quite small with a height of about one meter and grows rather bushy. Side shoots don`t have to be removed.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
