Shadow Boxing Tomato Seeds
Info: The Shadow Boxing tomato is a beautiful new breed from the USA with orange-red and purple striped fruits. The tomatoes are slightly egg-shaped with a small tip and the sunny side turns blue to dark purple. They are juicy and have an excellent, tangy tomato flavour. The plants can grow up to 2 metres high, need support and side shoots have to be removed regularly. Harvesting begins early, often at the beginning of July.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
