Black Truffle Tomato Seeds
Info: The Black Truffle tomato is a very delicious, black tomato from Siberia (also known under the name Japanese Black Trifele or Japonskij Black Truffle). It is a medium-sized stake tomato (approx. 120 cm) with pear-shaped fruits that can weigh up to 200 g, and in strong sunlight can take on a dark reddish-brown to almost black colour. The fruit flesh is deep red, cut-resistant and has an intense and sweet flavour. This variety is very robust, also does well in low temperatures and rain, and is very resistant against fungal disease, making it good for cultivation outdoors.
Care: You can grow the Black Truffle tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
