Harzfeuer Tomato Seeds
Info: The Harzfeuer tomato is a popular stake tomato with round, deep red fruits which are particularly suitable for fresh consumption. The ripe tomatoes have a balanced sweet-sour aroma, and are juicy and cut-resistant. They are also suitable as snacks, and for soups, sauces and boiling down. The high-yielding plants grow up to 2 metres high and should be regularly pinched off.
Care: You can grow the Harzfeuer tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
