Floradade Tomato Seeds
Info: The Floradade tomato is a variety from Florida which grows well under various climatic conditions and is resistant against the most common tomato diseases (Verticillium, Fusarium 0-1, Stemphylium). It is characterised through its typical fine tomatoey flavour and firm fruit flesh with few seeds in small chambers. It is therefore particularly good for fresh consumption. The plants are robust and high yielding and grow up to approx. 150 cm in height.
Care: You can grow the Floradade tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
