Thessaloniki Tomato Seeds
Info: The Thessaloniki tomato is an old variety from Greece that likes warm and sunny weather. Many round, red, flavourful tomatoes develop on the medium-sized plants, and are excellent for delicious tomato salads or tasty sauces. The fruits are juicy, but burst-resistant and can be stored easily. The plants are relatively robust and resistant to common tomato diseases.
Care: You can grow the Thessaloniki tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
