Black Zebra Tomato Seeds
Black Zebra Tomato Seeds
Info: As the name already suggests, the Black Zebra tomato has streaked fruits, which appear green-white when immature and green-brown when mature. The flesh has a mahagony colour. The fruits are juicy and have a rich tomato flavour with a a great balance of acidic and sweet. They are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for cooking and preserving. The vigorous plants are very productive and relatively robust against diseases.
Care: You can grow the Black Zebra tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
