Purple Russian Plum Tomato Seeds

Info: The Purple Russian Plum tomato is an Ukrainian heirloom that produces beautiful, egg-shaped and succulent purplish fruits. Their taste is a sweet and rich tomato flavour and the texture is meaty. One of the best varieties you can carry for salsa, fresh eating, and preserving. For best results in yield, remove side shoots and restrict the plant to one main stem. Provide support and tie in regularly.

Care: You can grow the Purple Russian Plum tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.

Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.

Sehr gut

Da ich den Geschmack noch nicht beurteilen kann und aufgrund der Subjektivität auch nicht will, bewerte ich nur die Qualität des Saatgutes.
Ich habe im letzten September 11 Samen dieser Tomate erhalten und das luftdicht(!) verschlossene Tütchen in einer Alufolie eingepackt im Kühlschrank gelagert.
Ausgesät habe ich von dieser Sorte nur 5 Samen, welche ohne Vorbehandlung nach 7 Tagen allesamt aufgegangen sind. Die Pflanzen wachsen auch sehr gut.
