Kecskemeti Tomato Seeds
Info: The Kecskemeti tomato from Hungary is a mid-early variety with compact bushy plants. They are vigorous and prolific and reach heights between 80 and 100 cm. The plants bear orange-red egg-shaped tomatoes, that are very tasty, but might weigh very variable (80 to 250 grams). The tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, as salad tomatoes and for cooking.
Care: You can grow the Kecskemeti tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
