Pink Thai Egg Tomato Seeds
Information: The tomato Pink Thai Egg is a very popular market variety in Thailand and very productive. Its egg-shaped fruits are firm and mature from pale green to cream to pink. The tomatoes have an excellent sweet flavour and are best eaten fresh; ideal for salads. Since the tomato is in shape and size similar to a chicken egg, try the fruit (when still in cream colour) as a surprise on the breakfast table. Stores well.
Care: You can grow tomatoes at home, in a greenhouse or outside. Cover seeds only slightly with soil. Optimum germinating temperature is between 20°C and 25°C, germination takes place after 5-15 days. You can accelerate germination by priming them overnight in a damp cloth. The young plant should not be planted outside until after the last frost.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised permeable soil, which is kept damp (but not wet!). They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered place with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day, if not more.
