Speckled Roman Tomato Seeds
Info: The `Speckeld Roman` tomato is a stunning and unique new type. The long, pointed red fruit have wavy orange and yellow stripes. They have a meaty flesh with little juice and seeds which makes them perfect for cooking sauces as well as for fresh eating. Additionally they have an excellent tomato flavour.
Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the sseds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
