Broad Beans The Sutton Dwarf Seeds
Info: Pea `The SuttonDwarf` is a unique dwarf variety and grows only 25 to 30 cm tall. It produces lot of small, dark green and tasty pods with 5 to 7 delicious beans. It is excellent for container growing and smaller gardens and they do not need support.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow when the soil is warm to the touch, which will be some time between the middle of March and the end of April. Sowing depth: 4-5 cm. Peas require a sunny position with well-drained and nutrient-rich soil, but not acidic. Use bamboo canes, pea sticks, trellis, netting or chicken wire as a climbing support for the plants. Once you feel the seeds in the pod, the peas are ripe for harvest. The more you harvest, the more they will produce. As the containing sugar decomposes very quickly, they taste sweetest immediately after harvesting.
