Runner bean Purple Teepee Seeds
Info: This variety owes its name to its extraordinary growth. The blue-violet, productive pods hang from the plant in a shape reminiscent of an Indian tee-pee. The bells type is particularly easy to harvest, as the pods hang freely over the foliage. After cooking, the color of the threadless, up to 14cm long pods changes into an appetizing dark green and can therefore be prepared like any other green bean. Tasty soups, stews or vegetable garnishes are just some of the uses.
Sowing & cultivation: The sowing should be about 3 cm deep. Press seeds and cover with soil. For row sowing the distance shoould be 40 cm with a grain spacing of 6 - 8 cm. When sown as a pit sowing, the distances are 30cm at 5-7 seeds per planting site. Sow the beans in humus-rich, well-drained garden soil in a warm, sheltered, sunny to partially shaded place with even moisture. If necessary, separate. The stability of the plants is improved by sowing in clumps.
