Runner bean Cosse Vilette Seeds
Info: Cosse Vilette is a very robust, strong and precocious runner bean. It is also called Trionto violetto. It forms 16-18 cm long dark purple, threadless pods. The cores are 1.5cm tall and are in a light brown color. When harvested early, the threadless beans are perfect for a green bean salad. It is one of the most undemanding varieties. Even in bad weather conditions, it is still very profitable.
Sowing & cultivation: The sowing should be about 3 cm deep. Press seeds and cover with soil. For row sowing the distance shoould be 40 cm with a grain spacing of 6 - 8 cm. When sown as a pit sowing, the distances are 30cm at 5-7 seeds per planting site. Sow the beans in humus-rich, well-drained garden soil in a warm, sheltered, sunny to partially shaded place with even moisture. If necessary, separate. The stability of the plants is improved by sowing in clumps.
