Cauliflower Igloo Seeds
Info: Cauliflower Igloo is an ideal choice for small gardens, easy to grow and a reliable, prolific crop for home gardeners. It produces tasty crisp white heads and can be grown in closely spaced rows (15 cm distance) or in blocks for delicious mini-cauliflowers. You can also grow it at a wider spacing (45 cm) for normal sized curds.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow Apr-May directly into a prepared seedbed. Sow 10mm deep into rows 20cm apart. Can be sown indoors Feb-Apr. Transplant to final growing position 5 weeks from sowing, 15 cm apart for mini-heads or 45 cm apart for full-size growth. Prefers a sunny position on a soil with plenty of well rotted organic matter, acidic soil should have lime added. Harvesting from August, when the heads are still tight and firm, cut in the morning. The curds may "yellow" if they receive too much sun, rain, or frost. Secure the plants` long leaves over the cauliflower heads to insure beautiful white heads.
