Cabbage Holland Late Winter Seeds
Info: Cabbage `Holland Late Winter` is an excellent variety for late autumn and winter production. It yields large solid heads with firm close textured creamy white hearts, ideal for coleslaw, salads and cooking. It has an outstanding storage quality. To store in winter pull the whole plant and suspend by the stalk in a cool airy place and they will last for several weeks.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow outdoors in April / May for a harvest from October to December. Sowing depth: 12mm and space 15 to 20cm between rows. Cabbage seedlings are ready for transplanting when they are between 6 and 8cm high, around 30 to 45cm apart. Cabbage grows best in partial-shade, in firm, fertile, free-draining soil which should be slightly calcareous. Water regularly, especially in dry periods. Harvest from June to August (through to October).
