Info: The Brussels sprouts Evesham Special are a very popular, traditional vegetable. This very high-yielding variety makes medium-sized florets and can be harvested over a long period of time. A harvest is easily possible from September to Christmas. Brussels sprouts are a great accompaniment to fish and meat dishes. Even different wild varieties are rounded off with this vitamin-rich vegetables.
Sowing & cultivation: Sowing can be done outdoors from April. Sowing depth should be about 0.5-1cm. A row spacing of 50 x 50cm is required. It needs a sunny to partially shaded sheltered location. A humus rich, nutrient-rich, clay soil is optimal. The soil should be deeply loosened and enriched with garden compost and horn meal. The plants should be kept permanently moist and accumulated in early summer for greater stability.
