Cabbage Mammoth Red Rock Seeds
Info: The red cabbage "Mammoth Red Rock" is a traditional, very popular, winter hardy type of cabbage from the year 1889. It forms large, up to 3kg heavy, densely leafy heads with dark red, firm hearts. The colorful, vitamin-rich heads are deliciously cooked or raw in salads. Red Drumhead is especially popular because it retains its beautiful deep purple color while cooking.
Sowing & cultivation: The sowing can take place from April in preculture. Sowing depth should be about 2cm. From late May, when no frost is expected, the young plants should be separated. It requires a row spacing of 45 x 60cm and a planting distance of 10cm. A humus rich, nutrient-rich, heavy clay soil is optimal. In a sunny spot this cabbage grows very well. Red cabbage needs a constantly moist ground, which is why regular watering is required. Even fertilization is recommended.
