Rutabaga Snowball Seeds
Info: The snowball is a very productive and fast-growing rutabaga. It forms, as the name suggests, snow-white, delicate fine-spicy turnips. The turnips can be consumed as raw food. But also boiled or stewed they are a great vegetable dish to meat and fish dishes. The cabbage can be prepared in the same way as spinach, or it can be used as a stew, the perfect basis for soups and stews.
Sowing & cultivation: Because the rutabaga is quite unpretentious, clayey, sandy, humus soils are excellent. They can be sown on the spot in April. The distance between rows should be 20 cm, the distance between plants should be 10-15 cm. A shelf depth of 3cm should be observed. Before sowing, mix some compost. As dryness increases the risk of falling, it should be regularly poured in dry times.
