Info: This old celery variety has been grown since 1886. It produces thick, crisp, deeply ribbed and very juicy stems. The aromatic stems are very resistant to disease and also do not become bitter. They can be eaten crisp as raw food or as a delicious vegetable garnish. Furthermore, this delicious vegetables can also be used to refine sauces, soups or stews. It is also very easy to blanch.
Sowing & cultivation: Since celery belongs to the light nuclei, the seeds should not be covered with soil on sowing. The celery has to be put forward from March on the window sill or in a greenhouse. After approximately 6-8 weeks, the plantlets can be planted with a planting distance of 50x50cm into the vegetable patch. Celery needs a good water and nutrient supply throughout the season. For this purpose, they can supply the plants with horn flour several times a year.
