Beetroot Cylindra Seeds
Info: The traditional beetroot Cylindra was introduced to Europe in the 19th century and is also known as Formanova. The cylindrically shaped beets reach a length of up to 20cm. It is a high-yielding variety with dark, purple flesh. Due to its uniform width, this tasty vegetable can be nicely cut into even slices. Ideal as a vegetable accompaniment to meat or fish. But even soups and stews can be refined with the vitamin-rich food. Even a delicious, healthy juice can be obtained from Cylindra.
Sowing & cultivation: Sowing can be done outdoors from April. Sowing depth should be about 2-3cm. A row spacing of 30 x 10cm and a planting distance of 10cm required. Beetroot is a very undemanding vegetable and makes little demands on the ground. A humus rich, nutrient-rich, slightly permeable soil is optimal. The soil must have a constant moisture during the entire growth phase.
