Cucumber White Mini Seeds
Info: The pickling cucumber White Mini forms small, approx. 4 cm long, oval white fruits that hang very numerous on the small plants when fertilised well. The small cucumbers are crunchy, have a slightly sweet taste and are suitable both for eating fresh in salads and as pickling cucumbers. The small plants are also excellent for growing in tubs for the balcony or terrace. This cucumber is an early ripening heirloom that is hardly susceptible to diseases or pests.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow indoors Mar-Apr or sow directly outdoors in May when all risk of frost has passed. Sow seeds 10mm deep into 8cm pots of free draining moist seed compost. Keep moist, not wet. Plant the seedlings out after the last frost. Cucumbers prefer rich soil with plenty of organic matter. Train up supports with 45 cm spacing. For ground maturing lay straw or plastic to keep fruit clean with 90 cm spacing. Pick fruits while young and tender, older fruits can become bitter.
