Watermelon Klondike Blue Ribbon Seeds
Info: Klondike Blue Ribbon is a large watermelon from the USA. The individual fruits with their light green striped shell become heavy up to 12kg. The pulp is deep red and very sweet. The plant is characterized by its resistance to Fusarium wilt and anthra-cotose.
Sowing & cultivation: Melon seeds should be sown in good sowing earth with adequate heat from April. The sowing depth should be 1-2cm. After about 3-4 weeks, the plantlets can be placed outdoors in frost-free weather. At a plant distance of 2m should be considered. The location should be warm and wind-protected. A mulch foil additionally heats the soil after planting. The soil must be humus-rich and loose. Harvest from September when the fruit knocking sound is dull and easy to release from the stem. The main shoot of the watermelon plant must be freed from the lateral shoots after the fifth to sixth leaf.
