Watermelon Calsweet Seeds
Info: Calsweet is one of the sweetest and most popular water-melon varieties in the world. The favorite for hobby gardeners. It is an elongated, block-like watermelon with light-green-white marbled shell. The fruits with their light red, juicy and sweet pulp become about 15kg heavy under good conditions.
Sowing & cultivation: Melon seeds should be sown in good sowing earth with adequate heat from April. The sowing depth should be 1-2cm. After about 3-4 weeks, the plantlets can be placed outdoors in frost-free weather. At a plant distance of 2m should be considered. The location should be warm and wind-protected. A mulch foil additionally heats the soil after planting. The soil must be humus-rich and loose. Harvest from September when the fruit knocking sound is dull and easy to release from the stem. The main shoot of the watermelon plant must be freed from the lateral shoots after the fifth to sixth leaf.
