Lettuce Buttercrunch Seeds
Info: `Buttercrunch` is a fast-growing, heat-tolerant lettuce with crisp and rich green leaves that have a buttery note. It has a very long growing season, from spring to autumn, form a beautiful rosette in the garden that holds well under stress and has good bolt resistance. It grows best in full sun, but will tolerate partial shade and even appreciates it in spring in hot climates. A good source of vitamin A and phytonutrients.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow outdoors from mid March to mid September. Seed depth 6 - 12 mm in short rows about 20 - 30 cm apart. When the seedlings are about 2cm tall, thin them out. A rich soil is excellent for lettuce, but the crop will also do well in average garden soil. Fertilize the soil with compost or horn meal before sowing. Watering is essential, the plants need almost constantly moist ground as dry soil will cause the plants to put their energy into producing flowers.
