Cabbage Spring Greens `Wintergreen` Seeds

Info: Cabbage `Wintergreen` is a spring greens cabbage type with bright green and very crisp foliage. It forms oval, large, solid heads with deep green very crunchy hearts full of flavour. This variety is winter hardy and can remain in the bed over winter. From early March on it can be harvested.

Sowing & cultivation: Sow outdoors successively between March to August. Seed depth 6 - 12 mm in short rows about 20 - 30 cm apart. When the seedlings are about 2cm tall, thin them out. A rich soil is excellent for oakleaf, but the crop will also do well in average garden soil. Fertilize the soil with compost or horn meal before sowing. Watering is essential, the plants need almost constantly moist ground as dry soil will cause the plants to put their energy into producing flowers.
