Lettuce Romaine Jericho Seeds

Info: Lettuce `Romaine Jericho` was developed in Israel and has brilliant green leaves that remain sweet even through the heat of summer. Additionally, it is tolerant to powdery mildew and downy mildew as well as it has excellent resistance to heat stress and tip burn.

Sowing & cultivation: Sow outdoors successively between March to August. Seed depth 6 - 12 mm in short rows about 20 - 30 cm apart. When the seedlings are about 2cm tall, thin them out. A rich soil is excellent for lettuce, but the crop will also do well in average garden soil. Fertilize the soil with compost or horn meal before sowing. Watering is essential, the plants need almost constantly moist ground as dry soil will cause the plants to put their energy into producing flowers.
