Winter Onion White Seeds

Info: The winter onion is a perennial vegetable and seasoning plant for the kitchen garden. It does not form onions, but the mild spicy, aromatic tubes can be harvested all over the year. Also the green-white blossom balls are edible. The use of winter onion is very similar to the onion. The taste is less strong than the onion. They can be used as a substitute for chives. winter onions are eaten freshl as spice or cooked in salads and soups.

Sowing & cultivation: Sow the onions in a humid, permeable soil on a sunny bed. The rows should have a distance of 20 to 25cm, the seeds within the row about 2cm. Place the seeds 2 to 3 cm deep. the beste sowing date is from February to April. The harvest may take place from May onwards.
