Info: Chinese leeks is also known as garlic chives or Chinese chives. It looks like chives, but has flat dark green leaves that are longer (30 cm) and wider (8 mm) than common chive. All of its parts are edible including mature flowers and have a delicate garlic onion flavour, milder than common garlic. It is widely used in East Asian cuisine and excellent for seasoning and flavouring fried dishes.
Sowing & cultivation: from March in preculture, from May outdoors. Chinese leeks is a cold germinator, so you should moisten the seeds before sowing and put them in the fridge for a few days.
