Winter Red Seeds
Info: The winter onion red is a very tender leek onion. It forms a strong, red-colored underside. All parts of this plant are suitable for consumption. The use of winter onion is very similar to that of onion. The taste is less strong than the onion. They can be used as a substitute for chives. Winter onions are freshly cut as a spice eaten in salads and soups. They are also very tasty as wok vegetables. This variety can be excellently grown in the vegetable garden. It is also suitable as a pot culture for the local balcony.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow the onions in a humid, permeable soil on a sunny bed. The rows should have a distance of 20 to 25cm, the seeds within the row about 2cm. Place the seeds 2 to 3 cm deep. the beste sowing date is from February to April. The harvest may take place from May onwards.
