"Hessischer Handkäse" Spice

One of the most popular dishes from the Hesse region of Germany is the "Handkäs` mit Musik" (literally "hand cheese with music"). This is a low-calorie sour milk cheese which was traditionally formed by hand - hence its name.
To make the "Handkäs mit Musik", the mature cheese is marinated in vinegar, oil, onions, cumin, salt and pepper.

The "Hessischer Handkäse" spice is the perfect spice mix for the quick and easy preparation of "Hessischer Handkäs` mit Musik", but is also suitable for cooking cheese and other cheese variations.
