Porter Tomato Seeds
Info: The Porter Tomato is a plum tomato and develops relatively small (up to 50 g) dark pink ripe fruits. The tomatoes have a fantastic flavour with a pleasant sweetness, and are very juicy. They are suitable for fresh consumption, but also for boiling down or for making tomato juice. The stake tomato is relatively compact and very high yielding.
Care: You can grow the Porter tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
