Jati Jolokia Chili Seeds
Info: The Jati Jolokia is the mild sister of the famous Bhut Jolokia Chili. It also originates from the province of Assam in India and is prized there due to its medium level of spiciness and typical flavour. The bushy plants reach a height of approx. 100 cm and are high yielding. In India, the green chilies are eaten fresh or used for cooking (in this state they have not yet reached their full spiciness), and in their ripe, red state they are usually pickled.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of agreenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
