Biryani Paste

Ashoka Biryani Paste is an Indian curry paste for the spicy rice dish biryani from the north of India and Pakistan. There, it is mainly served on special occasions such as weddings or on holidays.

The paste is flavourful and spicy with a clear emphasis on tomatoes, cumin, coriander and paprika. It is therefore also well suited for lamb and chicken curries. The heat is mild and balanced.

The preparation is very easy: Simply add to the meat and vegetables, sauté briefly, then add water or coconut milk, simmer until everything is cooked. Done.

Pure enjoyed, this paste has a heat level of about 2 - 3, but if you dilute it with coconut milk or water, the dishes then have a mild heat. The paste is very productive, 2 -3 tsp of paste serve the dish for 2 persons.
