Carey Green Tomatillo

Tomatillos look like green, unripe tomatoes surrounded by a dry, leafy skin. They are crunchy and tasty and have a unique tomatoey flavour.

The green tomatillo has a sweet yet slightly sour flavour and is a basic ingredient in many traditional Mexican recipes. Under no circumstances should the ordinary, unripe tomato be confused with the Mexican green tomato.
